Profiles by Cannabiz Social Podcast - Claire Buffone-Blair

Claire Buffone-Blair is Director, Communications and Stakeholder Relations with Sundial Growers Inc. She came to Sundial with extensive experience in the high-performance sports world both in Canada and internationally, including her role in Canada’s Own The Podium initiative, which was designed to make Canada number 1 at the 2010 Olympics. Claire was also the President and CEO of Canada’s Sports Hall of Fame, where she was mandated to move the national museum from Toronto to Calgary. Immediately prior to working with Sundial, Claire worked in the cranberry production industry, where she was responsible for PR and Communications. When she saw the cannabis industry developing, she saw an opportunity to get involved with something new and exciting.

When she is not busy as a Communications and Stakeholder Relations Director with Sundial, Claire is a fitness enthusiast who loves to train. She has been known to sign up for triathlons, marathons, ironman races, and road bike races, which she says allow her to escape the day-to-day and clear her mind.

As the Director of Communications and Stakeholder Relations with Sundial, Claire is responsible for overseeing all aspects of the company’s communications, including internal and external communications, media and public relations, community and investor communications. Sundial Growers is a privately held, Alberta based licensed producer with a head office in Calgary and production facilities in Rocky View Country and Olds. The company is focused on health and wellness and research, and they believe that cannabis is a modern natural alternative to products available in the market today.

Sundial strives to produce high quality cannabis and wants to be a company that people can trust.
